My hypothesis is that doing something educational like doing 10 math equations, before playig a game of snake will allow you survive the longest.

General Plan

In my project my general plan will be to find out what activity you do before playing a game of snake will improve your time survived.

Potential Problems And Solutions

Problem- The test subjects might not be able to figure out the math equations. Solution- Make the math equations very easy.
Problem- The test subjects might not like the book and get bored with it. Solution- Pick a book that is easy and intresting to most seventh graders.

Detailed Procedure

1. First I will have one person read a age appropriate book for ten minutes.
2. Then I will have that person play a game of snake while I record how long they can last on one game.
3. Then I will repeat those steps with two different people.
4. After that I will have those same three people do ten seventh grade math equations.
5. Then I will have the three people play a game of snake.
6. While they are playing that game of snake I will record how long they can last on one game.
7. Finally, I will look at my recorded data and come to a conclusion on what activity will make you survive the longest on a game of snake.

Through all my observations and research, I discovered that my hypothesis was correct. My hypothesis is that doing 10 minutes of math equations before playing a single game of snake.will allow you to survive the longest. After calculating all times survived I saw that when subjects did 10 minutes of math, they had an average of about 71.47667. When subjects read a book for 10 minutes they averaged to 23.68667 which proves that doing 10 minutes of math will allow you to survive longer in a single game of snake.

Conclusion

My hypothesis was that doing something educational like doing 10 minutes of math equation would allow you to survive the longest in a single game of snake. After completing my experiment I have accepted my hypothesis.Through all my tests I came out with a 71.47667 average time survived (in seconds) when the subjects did 10 math equations before playing a game of snake. I came out with a 23.68667 average time survived (in seconds) when the subjects read for 10 minutes before playing a game of snake Which proves that my hypothesis is correct.

Discussion

In my experiment I had three test subjects do to different activities which were doing ten minutes of math and reading a book for ten minutes and then I had them play a game of snake to see which one would allow them to survive the longest. My hypothesis was that doing the ten minutes of math would allow the three subjects to survive the longest and after completing my experiment I discovered that my hypothesis was right.
After looking at all my completed data I did not happen to find any trends or patterns. I think this experiment could easily be improved by have more test subjects and more activities before playing the game so you can have a larger variety of things to do that could possibly change the data and change the answer to my experimental question.
After completing my experiment it was extremely easy to find an answer to my experimental question. For two out of three of my test subjects there was an advantage of more than sixty seconds for doing ten minutes of math before playing the game.For the second subject there was an advantage for reading a book for ten minutes before playing a single game of snake of twenty-six seconds.
